Set up tables and place pottery around in an aesthetic
manner. Move pottery around during the shift.

Greet all potential buyers when they approach the booth
with a mention of who we are and what we do. Describe
our pottery and mention that it is made by many of our
club members. Mention that we have a club store that
they are welcome to come and visit. Mention we are
always looking for new members.
Interact with the other vendors at the market if possible.
They have been some of our repeat clients.
Wrap all sales items in paper and provide a receipt
(yellow copy) On receipt, write down the member club
number and the number of the piece as well as the
number of items sold, the amount, tax and total. Put the
little sticker on the back of the white copy.
Credit card sales: There are some little papers to fill out
the information on in the cash box. You write down Sun
City Clay Club, the amount of the sale, initial it and give
that to the customer to take over to the Famer’s Mkt
booth and pay there. They will be handed a white receipt
that they return to our booth. We retain the white receipt
provided by the market for our records and so that
members get paid. Only then, after they have handed
you that receipt do you hand them their purchase.
