Horse Whispers~ August to November 2015 We have introduced a few new things to Arobridge in the past couple of months. Alfie came to stay and he had a lot of fun with Lily and Freddie while they were here. They prepared him for the School holiday programme. Here is Alfie meeting our Arobridge horses. Freddie and Alfie The “Pathways”School Holiday Program (Hoofcamp) was over 2 weeks at the end of September and first week of October. We had a good turnout and a lot of fun. Here are a few photos to show you what we learnt. SAFETY RESPECT TRUST CONNECTION COMMITMENT ~ safety for ourselves and our horse ~ respect for ourselves, our horses and our friends ~Trust comes when we have both of the above ~Connection comes when the horse knows what we are asking ~ When we have all of the above we ride We realise that to have a horse is “Way more than Riding”. We consider the welfare of the horse is very important. The hooves need to be kept clean and trimmed. The gear of the horse should be cared for, cleaned and put away. It is important to make sure they have hay and/or feed and water available. Soft hands and patience help to have a happy ride. Here are some of the photos from the “Pathways”School Holiday Pogramme (Hoofcamp) Learning to saddle a horse Water is great for clean hooves and legs Cherokee is all groomed and ready to paint Picking up the poop means a clean environment for your horse. Balancing on the BIG ball helps with your core strength Sam and Alfie had the same grin We said farewell to Cherokee. He has now gone back home to live with his lovely family. Bye Cherokee thankyou for coming we will miss you. A whole year has passed since Cherokee came to stay…Time sure flies by when you are galloping on. Alfie is staying with Caroline and comes back to Arobridge –Equine First when we have workshops or sessions where he helps with the programmes. We have also welcomed another horse into our Arobridge herd…He is Aladin. He comes from a friend of mine who now lives in Holland. Aladin is a Quarterhorse Cross, about 10years old and once he has settled into Arobridge he will be joining us in the “Pathways”Programmes. The next workshop is “Pathways”Animal Communication and Connection on 14th & 15th November 2015. By trusting our intuition and awareness , listening and understanding our own and the animals body language, using the breath and rhythm of the earth and Universe, we are able to tune into other sentient beings and communicate with them, enabling us to understand the important messages they have for us. Have you ever felt that feeling of “knowing” when you are around an animal? Often a feeling or sensation of some happening :- “and then it happens”? Heightened awareness will help us access that unique part of you, that will assist in listening through meditation and visualization techniques. Horse Ancestors and All other animals offer ancient knowledge and wisdom and the messages that they are awaiting to impart are often astounding to the analytical mind. Whereas authentic acceptance through using intuition and heightened awareness feels comfortable in that knowledge and wisdom.
