Garden Sweet CSA Work Share Guidelines Working members are an integral part of Garden Sweet and are NOT volunteers. We rely heavily on the participation of all members to keep the farm productive, attractive, and sustainable. We take the working member program very seriously, and we want those interested in the program to give serious consideration to our requirements. As a member, you are expected to perform tasks as if you were a full-time employee of the farm. Upon arrival to your shift, report to your shift leader (Amy, Kristen, Rita, or Ryan) and be ready to go straight to work. Bring a full water bottle and dress appropriately for the day. Closed-toed shoes are required. Please leave dogs at home for safety of the chickens and farm sanitation. Tasks you may be asked to complete include (but are not limited to) planting, weeding, harvesting, rinsing produce, and helping at markets or the farm stand. You will be expected to lift heavy bins, work in varied conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.), and complete your shift with little-to-no breaks. As such, you should be in good physical condition and health. A three-hour shift can be a great work out, and you can be sure to be dirty and sweaty at the end of it. After completing your weekly three-hour shift, you are given credit to the farm stand at a rate of $10.00/hour. You are welcome to take home your hard-earned produce with your farm stand credit immediately or wait for later in the week. Working member credit can be spent during farm stand hours only during the week you completed your shift and is non-transferrable.
