Impulse 200 Laser Rangefinder For Tenth of Foot Accuracy
The Impulse 200 series by Laser Technology is a proven
design with exceptional accuracy. It measures horizontal
distance, slope distance, tree height, and inclination. Most
measurements take less than one second. The TruPulse has
been around since 1996 with many units still being used
daily for over 12 years. It is held much like a camcorder,
with easy access to three buttons near the top of the unit. It
can be switched from right hand to left hand use as there
are two sets of three buttons on each side of the unit.
Left handed users can switch the operation of the unit to left
hand button clicks by changing a simple menu item. The
buttons as well as the entire Impulse 200 unit is totally water
submersible.
A built-in filter allows the Impulse 200 to only work with reflective targets. This is a great feature when shooting targets
partially obscured by brush, trees, foliage, and other obstacles.
The Impulse is accurate to a tenth of a foot from near point
blank range to hundreds of feet of distance.
Teamed up with a Laser Technology angle encoder and the
MapSmart software, the Impulse is perfect for measuring stock
pile volumes. The Impulse measures the horizontal distances
and vertical angles for each shot made to the pile. The Angle
encoder records the bearing for each shot to the pile.
The Impulse 200 is available with a zero magnification red
dot scope or with a 1.5 to 4X variable power scope. Most
timber cruisers prefer the red dot scope.
