As a Meridian Complete (Medicare-Medicaid Plan) member, you receive a monthly Over-the-Counter (OTC)
benefit amount of $10! Your OTC benefit allows you to purchase items such as cold and cough medicines,
vitamins, dental care items, vision care items and much more. Just remember – these items are for your
purchase and use only.
You can get this document in Spanish or speak with someone about this information in other languages for

What is covered with this benefit?
Eligible items include OTC remedies or medicines to alleviate or treat illness or injury, dental care items,
vision and ear care items and incontinence supplies (adult diapers). These items do not require a
prescription from a health care provider.
Dual-purpose items are items that may serve more than one purpose. These items are sometimes used to
alleviate or treat a medical condition or they may be used to promote general health and well-being. These
items do not require a prescription from your doctor to purchase, however Meridian strongly recommends
that you discuss these items with your doctor prior to ordering or using. For your convenience, we’ve
identified dual-purpose items in this catalog with a * symbol.
How do I use my Meridian Complete OTC Benefit?
Your monthly benefit can be used anytime during the month to order OTC items from the approved catalog.
There is no limit on the amount of items you may order, but the total cost of the items cannot be greater
than your monthly benefit amount. Unused benefits do not roll over each month, so be sure to order each
month.

Please have your Meridian Member ID card ready. Having a copy of the OTC catalog handy is also helpful.
Items will be shipped directly to your home at no cost to you. You will be asked to verify your address when
placing your order.
Meridian will not reimburse for items that are purchased at the store, so make sure to call us when you
would like to place an order.

Important Information to Remember:
• You may not purchase products from a retail store with this benefit, only from the Meridian OTC Catalog
• If you disenroll from Meridian Advantage Plan, your OTC benefit will end
• Returns are not accepted, except in the event the incorrect item was received
• Your benefit does not rollover. Make sure to use your benefit each month – don’t lose it!
