Kinetic arts troupe to present cirque-style performance BANDON – Third Space Movement presents a cirque-style performance, Cirque d’Amour, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at the Sprague Community Theater in Bandon, 1202 11th St. SW. Cirque d’Amour is a “story in motion,” exploring the theme of love, according to a press release. The audience can expect to be mesmerized by stunning displays of physical coordination and gracefulness presented through a wide range of disciplines. Contact juggling - the art of manipulating a spherical, orb-like object - creates a gravity defying illusion. Acroyoga is the captivating, dance-like combination of flexibility and strength through acrobatic partner balances. Dynamic visual patterns are created by the spinning of Poi (a pair of weighted spheres on the end of tethers). Tales of relationships, emotions, and experiences are woven together through movement with these, and many other forms of cirque-style, kinetic arts. Performers will bring emotions and the storyline to life through solo and group choreography. Movement, music, and words will guide the audience on this journey through the many forms of love. Third Space Movement is a kinetic arts troupe based out of Northern Michigan. They offer opportunities for growth, self-confidence, and creative expression through kinetic arts workshops and cirque style performances. As a cultural and community hub, in a creative town like Bandon, the Sprague Theater is the perfect venue for their production of Cirque d’Amour. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and are available through Third Space Movement’s website: www.ThirdSpaceMovement.com. Cirque d’Amour is appropriate for all ages.
