Bibliographic Forms: Turabian - The University of Iowa Libraries

Bibliographic Forms: Turabian
The following examples of bibliographic forms are based on A Manual for Writers of Research Papers,
Theses, and Dissertations : Chicago Style for Students and Researchers, 7th ed., by Kate L. Turabian
(Rev. by Wayne C. Booth, Gregory G. Colomb, and Joseph M. Williams, 2007). It can be found at the
Main Library Information Desk: LB2369.T8 2007. This manual should be consulted for further
information, examples, and for types of bibliographic forms not given here. In particular, the 7th edition
provides considerable number of examples for citing on-line information sources. For more information
and examples, see: URL: http://guides.lib.uiowa.edu/citation.
Readers of this handout might wish to also consult the Libraries’ web page on RefWorks
(http://www.lib.uiowa.edu/find/refworks/). RefWorks is a subscription-based resource provided by the
Libraries and available free of charge to University students, staff, and faculty. RefWorks helps manage
citations and can easily generate a bibliography in a desired format, including Turabian, 7th edition.
