Write your own version. ■ Divide class into groups with each taking a different role in the building of Stonehenge – haulers; woodworkers; masons; cooks; toolmakers; hunters. Research what these jobs would have involved then make an instruction booklet or poster. ■ Write a diary entry for the day the stones were raised ■ Draw and label your own picture of the Amesbury Archer including some of his possessions. ■ Design a guide to Stonehenge either for modern day tourists or for people when it was built ■ Write an article for “The Neolithic Times” about Stonehenge.
