Read some myths and legends about the sun and moon from other cultures. Write your own

Divide class into groups with each taking a different role in the building of Stonehenge –
haulers; woodworkers; masons; cooks; toolmakers; hunters. Research what these jobs would
have involved then make an instruction booklet or poster.

Write a diary entry for the day the stones were raised

Draw and label your own picture of the Amesbury Archer including some of his possessions.

Design a guide to Stonehenge either for modern day tourists or for people when it was built
