Protagonist and Antagonist • Poppy is the heroine of the story because she took the risk of dying and traveled all the way to New House in the hopes of figuring out what Mr. Ocax was hiding there or what he was scared of. She even met her fear-porcupines- and didn’t run away, she talked to him (Ereth) and later found out that Mr. Ocax lied and discovered that porcupines aren’t predators. • Mr.Ocax is the Antagonist in this story because he tries to rule the mice and he has to have power over them but the truth is that he is just a scared owl that wants to be the center of things.
