 Denim clothing

 Tracksuit bottoms, leggings, jeggings or footless tights. No trousers
with jean style pockets.
 Skirts which are too short or made of flimsy material
School Uniform
 Cardigans or jumpers without the school logo
 Trainers or canvas shoes or ‘pumps’ (including ‘Vans’ etc.)
 Ugg style boots, as trousers cannot cover this style of footwear
 Excessive jewellery. Earrings should be small. Eye jewellery and
other facial piercings are not allowed. Students will be expected to
remove such piercings during the school day. If students have
piercings done during the academic year which do not comply, they
will still be expected to remove these, even if this means a risk of the
piercing ‘healing up’.
 Hair in an inappropriate style or colour. (No unnatural colours or
shaved lines and patterns)
 Accessories e.g scarves, cardigans and other ‘non-school’ knitwear
 Heavy, or excessive make-up

Uniform Supplier
Pinders Schoolwear, our uniform suppliers, provide an enhanced
service which includes managing the administration, supply and
delivery of all our school uniform orders.
The company have a dedicated website and parents have the benefit
of ordering uniform online from www.pindersschoolwear.co.uk and
pay for items using a debit/credit card or by PayPal. Pinders also
welcome orders by post together with payment.
Pinders visit our school once a year to sell uniform at the
Y6 Uniform Evening on 8 June 2016. At all other times uniform can
only be ordered via the Pinders website or via the link on the school
website. Please note school does not have a stock of uniform to
sell.
If you decide to order additional uniform after our Uniform
Evening you will need to order directly from Pinders and arrange
for a home delivery service which will incur an additional cost.
Once your child becomes a student at Stocksbridge High school in
September you will be able to take advantage of Pinders 'free of
charge' weekly uniform delivery service to the school every Friday,
(term time only), for orders placed before 12pm on the Monday.
To guarantee uniform delivery to your home address before term
starts in September 2016 orders should be placed with Pinders by
week ending 5 August 2016.
School Dress Code
At Stocksbridge High School, we are keen to foster within our
students feelings of community and identity and all students are
expected to follow the school dress code.
School Uniform
 Fitted white long or short sleeved shirt (with a collar for a tie)
 Grey cardigan or jumper with school logo
 Burgundy, grey and black school tie
 Black trousers
 Skirt to be worn at appropriate length, tights plain no patterns
 Smart plain black shoes
PE Kit




White school PE t-shirt with school logo
Sturdy trainers – non marking soles
Dark coloured shorts
Sweatshirt/hooded tops can be worn out doors
No jewellery should be worn during PE and long hair should be tied
back.
Other items
Hats and outdoor coats may not be worn in the building. Details
about school uniform can be found on the school website and are
regularly communicated with parents.
To ensure we are able to return school uniform that is brought to our
lost property, please make sure that the name of the student is
written on the label inside the garment/property.
