Review figurative language and author’s style/purpose for 6-weeks Unit Test
Take Unit Test – Thursday, 10-3-13
Identify/apply figurative language to poetry and its meaning
Prepare for reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
This week in Language Arts, we will:






Finish revising and editing personal narrative
Conference with teacher about personal narrative
Prepare final copy of personal narrative to turn in
o --Mrs. Atwood’s classes – personal narrative is due Wednesday
Review connotation and denotation
Discuss elements of poetry and apply to “Who’s Who”
Write a frame poem

This week in Neuroscience, we will:

Understand the parts and functions of the respiratory system and how it interacts with other
body systems.
•
Create a model of lungs demonstrating the process of breathing.
•
Review for the 6 weeks test from Neuroscience study guide 1 and 2 (handed out to students on
9/20 and 9/27 respectively).
•
Take a test on Wednesday /Thursday 10/2 and 10/3
•
Complete the body systems posters.
•
Have Homework- Body Systems Tic –Tac-Toe (To be passed out on Monday 09/30 and is due by
Friday 10/04)
