Job Purpose:
Supporting the relocation process for Birmingham's
investment clients, principally from an employee
perspective
(15-month contract)
 Supporting the delivery of relocation projects that
communicate the destination’s multi-layered
propositions around business and lifestyle


Key accountabilities:
The purpose of this role is to provide support in the delivery of Enterprise Zone funded projects
largely focusing on business relocation across all sectors to the Birmingham area. You will be
responsible for providing project management and marketing support in the delivery of specific
projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, programmes and goals.
Job profile
Support on project planning, delivery and evaluation – including but not limited
to:

Planning - facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables:
- identify project stakeholders and determine expectations
- prioritize project demands and outputs
- establish clear set of project goals

Execution – support in the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s):
- monitor project deliverables
- manage and work to timelines and budget
- identify risks
- support project team

Closure - ensure project completion criteria have been met:
- Support project team in obtaining stakeholder approval for final deliverables
- evaluate performance against defined project goals
Contribute towards the development and management of packages and services
which will attract businesses to the Birmingham region:
 Birmingham Concierge Service - develop and assist in operating the
relocation service provision across the key themes of education, property,
lifestyle and careers.
 Develop relocations channels and tools – contribute and develop (a) digital
channels – websites, social media, and e-contact plans; (b) printed collateral –
management of production, logistics, distribution and storage;(c) incentive
schemes and familiarisation events and (d) help desk – service relocation
enquires by telephone and email.
 Partnership marketing – support in the development of strategic relationships with
businesses across the region to provide support service.
Marketing and communications management:
 Support destination brand strategy and management for both the company and
destination in relation to the Relocation Services function.

Support in research, planning, implementation and evaluation of both programme
and corporate activity.

Ensure that all activity is compliant with marketing law as appropriate to the market:
- Ensure all marketing outputs are legal and developed against industry best
practice and DDA compliant
- Work in accordance with the data protection policy and develop a data
management strategy to deliver database growth
- Support the development of corporate image bank and ensure that application
of imagery and rich media (i.e. film) is compliant.

Ensure that the CRM system is utilised effectively and efficiently – being a champion
for use within the company.

Financial contribution:

Play a supporting role in project procurement working in accordance with the
company financial process and guidelines

Ensure delivery is compliant with all the relevant funding conditions and EU
regulations, in particular concerning procurement, and record keeping
To undertake any such duties commensurate with the post as may be
required.

Graduate, post graduate (or equivalent) in a
business/marketing related subject.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of marketing industry
Geographical knowledge of Birmingham and the wider region
Understanding and experience of using content management
systems (CMS)
Experience in event planning and delivery

Available to travel both nationally and internationally.
Highly organised, self-starter with good time management skills
Experience in stakeholder management
Experience in copywriting and content management.
