Science Center’s Adult Series continues with GAMEology this Thursday
Adults Only night to include live game shows, 4-story video games and vintage pinball machines!
Louisville, KY (May 12, 2015) –Kentucky Science Center’s Adult Series continues this week with
GAMEology, an adults-only night on Thursday, May 14 at the Science Center. Beginning at 6:00 P.M.,
guests can explore the science behind games of all kinds: participating in live game shows, shrinking
down to size with larger-than-life board games, going digital with video games on a 4-Story Digital
Screen, and exploring kids-free exhibit experiences. The arcade masters from Zanzabar will even be
onsite with vintage arcade games and pinball machines. Food trucks will also be onsite, including
local favorites Pollo – A Gourmet Chicken Joint and J Goodwins Fusion Grill. Additionally, alcohol will
be served onsite with two cash bars on the first and second floors. Tickets for the event are $20 for
non-members and $15 for members. Visitors must be 21 or older to attend.
“You never outgrow science,” said Science Center Executive Director, Joanna Haas. “Stemming from
our passion for inspiring a lifetime of learning, our first-ever GAMEology gives grownups the chance to
make connections between the things they already love and the things where they DO SCIENCE.
Hint: there’s a lot of intersection here – Science is everywhere!”
Last October, the Science Center kicked off its 3rd Adult Series with exBEERiment, which marked the first
of three events including February’s megaBITE and this week’s NEW GAMEology. In October 2015, the
Science Center’s popular exBEERiment will, again, kick off their 4th Adult Series.
The Science Center’s Adult Series formula of cash bars, kid-free exhibits and hands-on demonstrations
will continue to be integral with this year’s GAMEology. On the first floor, guests can try their hand at
indoor mini-golf in the temporary exhibit experience, REUSEapalooza. In the Atrium, live game shows
like Jeopardy and Family Feud will take place all evening long with guests as audience members
and participants. Local partners, Mommy’s Best Games, will be onsite to show guests their new game
– “Finger Derpy” on the heels of the Derby season. Table top and card games will be plaid with
Nashville-based Eagle-Gryphon Games on the 2nd Floor of the Science Center.
Tickets are available in advance by calling (502) 561-6100, ext. 6111 or visiting KYScienceCenter.org.
