May 2015 Issue A message from the President Dear Brother and Sisters: Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. Everything is turning green, birds are singing and warmer weather is upon us. The lodge is also budding with returning members, new committee chairmen, officers and volunteers. It is so wonderful to see old friends and new acquaintances at our Friday Night Dinners and at last month’s membership meeting. We are so very fortunate to have a wealth of people who give of their time and talents. As we are planning for the coming year, please feel free to share your thoughts and ideas. This is your lodge and I would like to explore new projects and events that have interest to all our members. He and his wife, Angela, have worked tirelessly for over 14 years to support young men and women of Italian decent pursuing their educational endeavors. To show our appreciation, the lodge has established the "Angela and Jerome Elliott Sr. Scholarship Fund," which will be awarded this coming year and every year thereafter. The scholarship committee has awarded over $155,000 to 39 recipients. Grazie Infinite Jerry! -G.
