In order to stay alive cells must move important materials like water and carbon dioxide, into and out of their cell membrane. Step 2: Explain how the cell uses diffusion to move sugar, oxygen, and carbon dioxide into and out of the cell. Use the vocabulary words Diffusion and Osmosis Step 3: Explain how the cell membrane that surrounds the cell is selectively permeable and allows certain object into the cell and keeps other objects out. Use the vocabulary words: Selectively Permeable and cell membrane Step 4: Explain how when a cell moves object in and out using diffusion it is passive transport and does not require any energy. Use the vocabulary words: Energy and Passive transport. It would be nice if you explain that during passive transport objects are moving from high concentration to low concentration. Step 5: Explain how a cell must use endocytosis to move large objects like protein into the cell. Step 6: Explain how a cell must use exocytosis to move objects out of the cell. Step 7: Conclusion - Write a brief summary statement. EX: The cell is constantly moving objects in and out of their cell membrane in order to grow, divide, and stay alive.
