Melby, Ph.D. Worked at Child Welfare Research and Training Project. Entered and analyzed data from prisoner reentry project (Project assessed 132 fathers under correctional supervision participated in 12 week 24/7 dad class). Evaluated and assessed the effectiveness of the 24/7 dad program in promoting positive fathering’ skills and knowledge. 2011-2012 Research Assistant for Peter Martin, Ph.D. Analyzed and summarized results on the influences of proximal and distal predictors of mental status of centenarians and assessed the influence of APOE ε4 (Apolipoprotein ε4) and personality traits as predictors of mental health of centenarians by using SEM. Investigated and summarized results on brain pathology (Braak stages, multi-infarct dementia, Lewy bodies, amyloid plaques) differences in mental health of centenarians. Worked also as administrative assistant for the Gerontology Program and were part of the Gerontology Advisory Committee. 2010 ResearchAssistant for Jennifer A. Margrett, Ph.D. Spring. Investigated cognitive change and performance in 60, 80, and 100-year old older adults from the Georgia Centenarian Study Phase 1 and Phase 2. 2009 Research Assistant for Jennifer A. Transactive Memory – examined couple’s perceptions of their everyday cognitive interdependence. 2008 Research Assistant, Dr. Peter Martin, Ph.D. (spring) Created the Georgia Centenarian Study codebook (centenarians, proxy, and interviewer variables).
