Route: Lymm B Walk 5.06mls
This is an easy walk near the village of Lymm
Travel directions from Bebington.
Take the M53 and then change to the M56 heading towards Manchester. Leave the M56 at the M6
turn off heading north – but instead of joining M6 bear left onto the A50. At the roundabout take the
3rd exit passing over the M6. At the second roundabout turn left along the B5158. Continue until the
B5158 meets the A56. Turn right onto the A56 and continue until you reach the left hand turn into
Outringham Lane. Follow Oughtringham Lane over the canal and turn left into Stage Lane. After a
short distance Spud Wood car park is on the right.

Start from the Spud Wood car park. Cross \grantham's
Bridge over the canal into Spud Wood. Turn left onto the canal
path to a stile and Burford Lane. Turn right and walk up the
road to a stile on your right.
Cross the stile and continue with the hedge on left. When
you reach a pond cross the stile into Helsdale Wood. Continue
through the wood, then through a field until you reach
Outrington Lane Then turn left , passing St Peter's Church to
reach a footpath on the right. Take this path to reach Longbutt
Lane.
Continue straight on along Grammar School Rd which
curves to the left to meet Higher Lane(A56). Cross the A56
and head right, then left into Tower Lane. At the end continue
along a path. Turn left along the edge of the field and then
right along the track passing Crouchley Hall Mews to reach
Crouchley Lane. Turn right along the Lane and continue
almost until you reach the A56.
Turn left through the church hall car park and continue along
the side of Lymm Dam. Continue around the dam to Crosfield
Bridge.
Cross the bridge and continue along the side of the lake to
arrive at Church Rd(A56). Cross the road and continue down
steps into The Dingle.
Turn right to Lymm Cross. Continue along Pepper Street
passing Ravenbank Primary School , keep straight ahead
down the footpath. At Oughtrington Lane turn left over Lloyd
Bridge. Go down onto the canal path returning back to
Grantham Bridge and the end of the walk.
