Millions of elderly and disabled Americans own their own homes,
yet lack the funds or physical ability to keep them in a state of
minimum repair. Many of these homes could be restored to decent
livable conditions with a few hundred to a few thousand dollars
and a few days of labor.

The Fuller Center for Housing is an ecumenical, Christian nonprofit housing ministry promoting collaborative and innovative
partnerships with individuals and organizations in an unrelenting
quest to provide adequate shelter for all people in need.
The Fuller Center was founded in 2005 by Millard and Linda Fuller,
co-founders of Habitat for Humanity. Former President Bill Clinton
said Millard “revolutionized the concept of philanthropy” with
Habitat, which housed over 1 million people in 100 countries under
Millard’s leadership. In 1996, Millard was awarded the Presidential
Medal of Freedom by Clinton, the highest award an American
civilian can receive.
The Tallahassee Fuller Center for Housing was founded in 2008 and
is dedicated to rehabilitating houses of those who do not have
sufficient income to provide themselves with the necessities of
life while performing the necessary repairs on their homes. Since
2008 TFCH has engaged in over 30 repair projects at a cost of over
$70,000, involving more than 300 volunteer participants.

About the Program
How it Works
The Greater Blessing Program
Get Involved
Get Involved
Get involved with the Tallahassee Fuller Center for Housing and
make a difference. Volunteer to help with construction or donate
materials or money to fund the projects. Help give a family in need
the lasting gift of health, security and happiness.
As a Covenant Partner of the International Fuller Center for
Housing, the Tallahassee Fuller Center for Housing (TFCH) has the
expertise, resources and training of the international organization
and the personal strength of the local Tallahassee community to
carry out its mission.
Churches
Become a Faith Builder. Congregations of all sizes are invited to
sponsor and lead a range of projects, from simple wheelchair
ramps to major house restoration projects.
Through the Greater Blessing program, homeowners can apply
to the Tallahassee Fuller Center for Housing to have their homes
restored to a simple, decent living condition. The program seeks
to aid homeowners with extremely limited incomes who cannot
afford to, for example, replace a leaking roof, fix broken windows
or repair hazardous kitchens or bathrooms. The Greater Blessing
Program allows for a cooperative effort between homeowners
and community volunteers to accomplish this necessary work.
Student Groups / Community Clubs
Become a Student Builder. Enlist your school club, fraternity/
sorority, sports team or other local organization to help rehabilitate
a person’s home in the Tallahassee community.
A homeowner requests, completes and submits an application
to TFCH. Applications can be requested by sending an email to
[email protected] or by visiting our website (tchf.org) to download the
application.
The Family Selection Committee reviews the needs of the
homeowner. The scope of the project will be reviewed by our
Construction Committee whose recommendations are referred to
the board of directors for final approval.
Once approved, the Fuller Center provides a written job estimate
and work agreement.
Volunteers repair the home.
The homeowner is encouraged, to the extent he or she is able, to
assist with the repairs of the home and to contribute to the Greater
Blessing Fund. This is done to help homeowners maintain their own
sense of dignity by providing an opportunity to help others with
the blessing of safe and livable housing.
While there is no loan (there is no debt and no interest) for the cost
of repairs, the homeowner is given a Greater Blessing box with
envelopes to make contributions to the Fuller Center if possible.
All contributions are used by the Tallahassee Fuller Center to help
another homeowner in need.
Business Owners
Become a sponsor of a Greater Blessing Project and invite your
employees to volunteer with the Fuller Center.
Individuals
The TFCH needs skilled people to serve as teachers and site
leaders, but volunteers of all levels of experience are welcome.
