Zionsville Community High School would like to extend a warm welcome to the 2017 Track and
Field Sectional at St Vincent Health Stadium on the campus of Zionsville Community High School.
Participating Schools: Avon, Brownsburg, Cascade, Danville, Monrovia, Mooresville, Plainfield,
Southmont, Tri-West, Zionsville
Entry Information:
1. Changes to your entry will only be accepted through the IHSAA Executive Staff.
2. If you find a clerical entry error, or have a question about how an event was seeded,

Seeding Information:
1. The Meet Director will post a copy of the seeds to http://www.frontrunnertiming.com prior to noon, Saturday, May 13th.
2. Corrections of obvious errors and/or omissions will be accepted by 12:00 p.m.
(Noon), Monday, May 15th, 2017 if reported directly to the assistant commissioner.
No changes for the purpose of gaining a competitive edge will be allowed.
3. Final scratches will be made at the scratch meeting the day of the meet.

Scratch meeting in team room of the locker room building located at
the north end of the track. All schools need a representative present.

Team Entry:
Teams will enter through the main entrance to the stadium. Principals, Athletic
Directors and bus drivers should sign in at the spectator admissions gate.
Check- In:
Athletes in all running events should report to the clerk area by second call. The
clerk area will be located northwest of the track near the 100 Meter Dash start area.
Advancement From Sectional to Regional:
From Sectionals to Regionals – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place sectional finishers in all
individual events and relays plus any individual or relay team meeting the 3
Participant Standard in the sectional finals of their event. If the top 3 finishers plus 3
Participant Standard advancers in an event is less than 16, the next best performances
from the corresponding sectionals shall be added to bring the total number of entrants
to 16 in each event. An individual or relay team shall not advance to the regional
from the sectional finals unless the time is recorded by FAT.
Coaches Area:
Coaches are not permitted on the track or on the infield with the exception of one pole
vault coach. Hospitality will be hosted in the team room where the coaches meeting
will take place.
Team Camps:
Please set up team camps in the visitor stands or below the home stands. Do not set
up team camp in the infield. No athletes are permitted in the infield area at any time.
Equipment:
1. Starting blocks will be available but you are welcome to bring your own.
2. Weigh-in and measurement of shot and discus will begin @ 4:30 pm outside the
team room where the coaches meeting will take place.
Trainer:
The ZCHS certified athletic trainer and staff will be available and will be located in
the area near the finish line of the track.
Starting Hts: Starting Heights: High jump bar will be placed 4’2” for practice and 4’6” to start the
meet. Bar to be raised 2” to 5’0” and one inch increments thereafter. Pole Vault bar
will be placed at 7’0” for practice and 8’0” to start the meet. NOTE: Heights are
subject to change based on entries.
Scoring:
8 places will be scored 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 in all events, including relays.
Results:
Results from each event will be tweeted out from @ZCSeagles. These results will be
updated throughout the meet, and a complete set of results will be posted and emailed
to the coaches at the conclusion of the meet. A printed final copy of the results will be
available by request in the pressbox.
Scratch Cards: If scratching an athlete qualified for the Regional, you must complete the scratch
card and turn in to the press box within 30 minutes after the finish of the last event.
Awards:
Awards will be available in the press box at the conclusion of the meet.
Championship team trophy will be presented at the conclusion of the meet down at
the finish line.
