Jim Nottingham is vice president and general manager of the LaserJet Enterprise and
Solutions-Value Hardware and Technology organization, which is part of HP’s Printing
and Personal Systems (PPS) group, an organization that spans customer segments
from consumer to enterprise. In this role, he’s responsible for offerings that include HP
LaserJet printers and scanning technology that represent a $100 billion global market
opportunity.
Jim is currently responsible for the Value LaserJet business, which includes HP Value
LaserJet Printers, MFPs, and scanner products. He also leads the Quality and Product
Reliability functions within the LaserJet business. In addition to responsibility for the
Value Business P&L, he also leads development and delivery of all value products in the
LaserJet portfolio. His organization is responsible for driving sustained and significant
improvement in overall quality, customer experience, and product innovation.
Early in Jim’s career at HP he worked as a R&D engineer and architect. In 1997, he
briefly left HP to join a startup company, Jim returned to HP in 2000 as a R&D Manager.
Prior to his most recent role, Jim has also served as the VP of R&D, and R&D Director for
both low end and high end LaserJet development.
Jim graduated from Utah State University with BS and MS degrees in Electrical
Engineering. He also holds a master’s degree in Technology Management. He is based
in Boise, Idaho.
