President’s Message – 4/16/10
Well, our busy Spring is here.
The early warmth did seem to
speed-up everything but who’s
complaining after weeks of
snow! Thanks to Bill Moyer,
our Spring started with a new
member joining our club. Bob
Wilson will be inducted as our
newest Lion at an upcoming
meeting. Welcome aboard,
Bob. A special thanks to
Floann Powell who, once
again, did an extraordinary job
in coordinating our rose sale.
As in previous, years we are
fortunate to have members
who take time from their busy
schedule to sell an amazing
number of roses. Kudos to
Brian Noone, Bill Moyer and
the Hall’s for leading the way
once again, and thanks to all
our members who helped
make this another successful
year. And, yes, as my term
winds down as your president
we need to fill our offices for
incoming president Bill
Wilson. At our general meeting
on April 20th I will ask that we
form our nominating
committee so that by May 18th
we have in place our slate of
officers for the new year. Of all
the upcoming events I am
especially pleased at having
joint activities with our other
Lions’ clubs. We will celebrate
our charters with the West
Chester Lunch club as well as
jointly collect for White Cane
Day with both the Lunch and
West Goshen Lions. I
encourage all members to
review the list of upcoming
events and see where, in your
busy Spring schedule, you can
set some time aside to join
other Lions working together
to improve our community and
enjoy the fellowship of
Lionism.
