Self Adhesive Supplies was established in
1972 and was appointed a 3M Authorised
Distributor for tapes and adhesives in 1976.
Our reputation for quality and lexibility soon
stuck and following continuous growth, we
were acquired by Amari Plastics PLC in 2008.
In 2011, we relocated to new 7,000 square
foot premises: to supply quality products on
time, with conidence.

ISO 9001:2008 for quality Management since
1994, a testament to our high standards and
our on going commitment to providing the

Through investment in a state-of-the-art lathe
slitting facility, Self Adhesive
Supplies can slit tapes to as
narrow as two millimetres.
Self Adhesive Supplies has a precision diecutting service available for customers who
wish to have single sided and double sided
tape cut to a speciic shape. In turn, you’ll
save time and money and reduce production
waste, too.
Self Adhesive Supplies are also a distributor
of ‘Polylite’ polycarbonate sheets see page 18.
These sheets are available with matt, velvet
and gloss inishes, in 125, 175, 250, 375, 500
micron thicknesses.

The “Essential Surface Preparation Guide” for applying VHBTM tapes & Foam tapes.
• Ensure surface is clean and dry all over.
• Best prepared by wiping (one direction only) with 3M VHBTM cleaner in conjunction with 3M Surface wipes.
• If heavy oils or greases are present, eliminate these by degreasing with 3M Citrus Cleaner.
Follow up with 3M VHBTM cleaner.
• Use 3M 7447 Scotch-BriteTM hand pads for abrading / scufing harder materials to increase the surface area for
bonding. Follow up with 3M VHBTM cleaner afterwards and allow to lash dry prior to applying the tape.
• For dificult plastics / painted items - especially low surface energy, use 3M 94 Primer. Wipe & allow to lash dry.

SINGLE SIDED - MASKING TAPES
Available in paper or ilmic for standard paint masking used by DIY or
professionals, or by car repair centres with baking facilities. We have
tapes for powder coating applications featuring silicone adhesives
that work at 260°C.

We are experienced in printing vinyls, polypropylenes (standard or low-noise) and

We produce:3-colour printing (includes backgrounds) for hand or machine sized rolls on Vinyl (PVC) - unwinds smoothly. They’re hand tearable, conformable and
adhere irmly. Use for small graphics (preserve details) and also for a wider
choice of colours.
Polypropylene - suited for simpler print needs. They perform better in colder environments but
need mechanical aids to dispense, burnish and ease cutting. Great savings can be
had for printing large quantities especially on 990m or super-length 1500m rolls.
Low-Noise Polypropylene - an environmental alternative to vinyl - easy for us to
print and silent for you to apply.
Filament tapes - ideal for larger & heavier packages. Recommended for printing
with single-colour bold texts to really stand out.

POLYLITE® POLYCARBONATE FILM
Polycarbonate (PC) is an engineered
thermoplastic material.
PolyLite® PL graphic ilms and sheets are
available in a variety of inishes for printing
and display applications. The surface inishes
are gloss, matt, velvet and brushed. The
consistent texture allows high quality print
performance and no pre-treatment required
for printing. Tailor made colours, thicknesses,
widths and lengths in either rolled ilms or
sheets are available.
The PL graphics grade is UL94 V-2 rated
with RTI certiication at 80ºC. In addition to
printing and fabrication applications, PolyLite®
PL grades are suitable for thermoforming.
Other applications include toy car bodies,
helmets, sun visors, luggage, lamp shades, etc.
