Brainstorm a list of Christmas words from A-Z. Then, write an acrostic or alliteration poem titled ‘Christmas’. It doesn’t have to rhyme. With a partner, act out the dialogue that may occur in this interview. Record it on video or act it out for the class. Make something bigger, add to something or replace something on Santa’s sleigh. Brainstorm how to encourage people to think more about giving than receiving at Christmas time. List ten things that you could not give as a Christmas present. Design a survival kit for Santa’s long night around the world. Work with a partner. Make a board game about Christmas. Write a list of rules to play your board game. Play the game with your friends. Arrange a Christmas dinner for your family and friends. List your guests. Design an invitation. Plan a menu of the meal you will serve. Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny meet one day. Write a dialogue between them and present it to the class. Father Christmas looks cross and is stomping around loudly in his big black boots. Draw a picture and give five reasons for this. Do some research about how Christmas is celebrated in another country. Make a table to compare foods eaten, weather, customs, traditions, beliefs etc. Design a poster advertising the ‘must have’ toy this Christmas.
