Thesis Internet of Things - Wireless Sensor Networks Organization: Robert Bosch GmbH | Nation: Germany | Location: Renningen | Functional Area: Research & Development | Level: Thesis (Diplom/Bachelor/Master) | Date: 14.02.2017 | Reference no.: DE00510396 Do you want beneficial technologies being shaped by your ideas? Whether in the areas of mobility solutions, consumer goods, industrial technology or energy and building technology – with us, you will have the chance to improve quality of life all across the globe. Welcome to Bosch. The Corporate Sector Research and Advance Engineering is in charge of designing, testing and exploring systems, components and technologies. Our innovations consistently aim to achieve an improvement in the quality of life. Renningen, near Stuttgart, is the new hub of the Bosch Group’s global research and advance engineering activities. Here around 1,600 employees from the center for research and advance engineering will develop new materials, methods, and technologies, along with new systems, components, and production processes. Your contribution to something big What distinguishes you Industry 4.0 is your exactly subject: You transfer innovations in the field of communication technology for industrial wireless sensor networks from research into practice. These techniques process sensor data such efficient that only a minimum amount of data needs to be transmitted. The exact field of your study will be harmonized together with you. It originates from digital baseband signal processing, signal estimation, or source and channel coding. Obtain an overview of common practical approaches in the chosen field of study Design and implement a simulation environment for signal processing algorithms in the selected field of study using MATLAB or OMNeT++ Evaluate and optimize selected approaches of the selected field of study Implement selected approaches as proof-of-concept prototypes in embedded systems You major in electrical engineering, digital communications engineering, applied computer science or a similar subject You have comprehensive and extensive knowledge of digital communications and digital signal processing algorithms You are experienced in using MATLAB and C++ for digital signal processing Ideally you already gained experience in OMNeT++ or NS3 as well as in signal estimation, compressive sensing or source and channel coding You exhibit pronounced analytic skills, and you work distinctively well-structured, self-directed and goal-oriented Requirement for this thesis being enrolled in university.
