Cost:
Admission is free!! No ticket is required. 
$30 per student; the cost covers after banquet dinner meal at Rio
Rio (downtown), transportation costs and a commemorative T-shirt
(see page 3)
Deadline:
Please turn in payment of $30 by Tuesday, May 2nd. In order to
receive shirts the following week, this has to be a firm
deadline.
Why Perform?: This is YOSA’s (Youth Orchestras of San Antonio) 1st annual Invitational.
The Briscoe MS Honors Band was selected in the summer of 2016
to participate in this prestigious event.
We entered the event by submitting last year’s UIL recordings and
were 1 of 8 middle schools chosen for this historic event!
Selections of the our Tobin Center performance will include
Marche Diabolique, Shepherd’s Hey, Glaciers, the Avengers, Star
Wars & selections from Guardians of the Galaxy.

BEFORE SCHOOL
Bring Uniforms to Band Hall
 Bring uniform to the Band Hall (have NAME on Garment bag)
 Gentlemen: Tuxedo Jacket, pants, white button-down shirt, bow tie, cummerbund, black socks & dress shoes
 Ladies: Concert gown and black dress shoes
Dismissed from 8th period /Get dressed

Tobin Center Etiquette & General Information:
 Admission is free! No ticket is required.
 Professional Recordings are being made.
 Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance.
 In consideration of other patrons and artists on stage, cell phones should be turned off
when entering the auditorium and cell phone conversations are forbidden during
performances.
 Please refrain from talking during the show. Children who need attention must be taken to
the lobby.
 For safety and courtesy to other patrons, please do not sit or stand in the aisles. Aisles
should be kept clear at all times.

I understand the Briscoe MS Band will leave from the school at Monday, May 15th and
your student will arrive back at the school at on Monday, May 15th . I will not hold
the Northside Independent School District or its’ employees liable for accidents or injury which
may occur while at the above described activity. I further understand that any student
participating in any competition, or performing program as a representative of a Northside
School or the District (including practice, competition, travel to and from the event, or other
related activities) who displays conduct which is disruptive or detrimental to the program
including but not limited to, being in possession or under the influence of alcohol, marijuana,
hallucinogenic drugs or other prohibited substances of any kind, or attempting to sell, to
distribute, or to use said prohibited items on the campus of any school in the District or at any
activity as mentioned above will be subject to immediate withdrawal from the program for the
remainder of the school year and possible removal from the home school to alternative program
or expulsion from school. (Northside Board Policies, EHAD local, FNCF/FNCE local, FNCH
