You can move freely between the different rooms. (We just
need to know space-wise which track probably needs the
largest room.) Saturday speakers will generally follow the
Friday schedule above, with lunch around noon, and dismissal
around 4:00 PM. Final schedule for Saturday will be in the
GACDL App.

Suesan Miller (McDonough)
is one of the most highly respected
DUI attorneys in the state of
Georgia, trying and winning many
DUI cases. She is certified in
Standard Field Sobriety Training
for Georgia Legal Professionals and
has attended the National College
for DUI Defense (NCDD). Suesan
is on the faculty of the Bill Daniel
Trial Advocacy Program, where she
once attended as a student. She is a
Sustaining Member of the GACDL,
and has served on its board of
directors as Vice President, as well as serving as the Membership
Committee Chairperson. She is the current President of the Henry
County Bar Association and believes strongly in giving back to
the community through volunteerism. Suesan won the Georgia
Defense of Drinking Drivers Group –Best Trial Victory of the Year
in 2014 and DUI Lawyer of the Year in 2015.

Bubba is a board member of
the GCDLEF (Georgia Criminal Defense Lawyers Education
Foundation), a board member of the GACDL, and is a Champion
Member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. In 1992,
he co-founded the Georgia Defense of Drinking Drivers, an
organization devoted to collaboration between DUI defense
attorneys to find new solutions to complicated issues pertaining
to DUI law. He has been named to superlative lists ranging from
Georgia Trend magazine and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution to
US News & World Report’s Best Law Firms list, SuperLawyers.
He has even been named as one of the Best Lawyers in America.
Bubba belongs to Defense of Drinking Drivers, an invitationonly organization for DUI defense attorneys. Mr. Head has
penned numerous articles and books on DUI defense, and is a
regular speaker on the defense of DUI.
James R. Harper (Atlanta) began his law enforcement career
with the Henry County Sheriff’s Department in 1999. After attending
the Clayton Regional Law Enforcement Academy in 2001, Harper
went on to work for the Clayton State University Public Safety
division where he served until 2003. Later that year, Harper joined
the Henry County Police Department where he honed his skills in his
specialty areas of DUI, SFSTs and drugs that impair driving. He went
on to become a certified Drug Recognition Expert. After earning his
instructor certification, Harper joined the staff of the Georgia Public
Safety Training Center’s (GPSTC) Traffic Section in 2011.

Ashley Schiavone (Atlanta) worked as an Associate Attorney
at Head, Thomas, Webb and Willis, LLC after passing the bar from
2008-2011. Now she has her own private practice. She is member
of NCDD (National College of DUI Defense) and has completed
a 24 hour DUI Detection & Standardized Field Sobriety Testing
under the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration in
2009. She also completed the DUI Detection & Standardized Field
Sobriety Instructor Course under the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration in 2009. Ashley is the co-author of Defending DUI:
Case Outline and Traffic Manual.
Cris Schnieder (Savannah) has been representing individuals
against state and federal charges and he has been appointed as the
Hinesville City Solicitor. Dedicated to the field of criminal defense,
Cris recently served as the vice president of the GACDL and is a
member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers. He
has been recognized by The National Advocacy for DUI Defense
(NAFDD) for two consecutive years. He is also a member of the
following organizations: National Advocacy for DUI Defense, LLC.,
American Association of Attorneys, Premier DUI, American Institute
of DUI/DWI Attorneys 10 Best 2015, and the National College for
DUI Defense.
