Grand Prix 2017
East Tyrone C.C. will be running three separate races;
A - Race: (A1, A2 categories) limited to 80 riders (handicapped). A - Race, 6 laps (9.4 miles/lap)
B - Race: (A3 categories) limited to 75 riders. B - Race, 5 laps (9.4 miles/lap)
C - Race: (A4 category) limited to 80 riders. C - Race, 4 laps (9.4 miles/lap)
As stated, entry for each race is limited to 80, 75 & 80 riders respectively. Riders should assume that
their entry has been accepted unless they are notified by email that their entry has been placed on
the reserve list
The entry fee is £14.00 (€20)
Sign on will take place at the Loup GAC, 111 Ballyneill Road, Loup, Moneymore BT45 7TE with
changing facilities and car-parking. Sign on available from 10:00 - 11:00. Races begin at 12:30pm
U16 - Race: 3 laps (9.4 miles/lap)
U14 - Race: 2 laps (9.4 miles/lap)
Sign on takes place in the Loup GAC from 09:00 - 09:30. Races begin at 10:00.
Notice to youth riders: after sign on you must have your gear check done. When the race is
finished riders may be called for a random gear check
The entry fee is £5 (€10) which is paid on the day of the race.
Ladies & Masters Race (combined): 4 laps (9.4 miles/lap)
Sign on the day from 09:00 - 09:30. Race begins at 10:00. The entry fee is £12 (€15)

Full Description
of Safety Measures:
• Each race will have a Lead and service car • Commissaires car to follow races
• Broom wagon and service car to follow both youth races
• Vehicles will have race radios and warning lights
• Marshals will have high visibility vests, radios and flags
• Corners will be swept
• First Aid / Ambulance in attendance
• Residents on circuit will be given notice of event
• PSNI will be notified
• DOE notified to fix pot holes
• Adequate parking for cars of the race circuit
• Toilets and showers avaliable at sign-on
• Portable toilets located at start / finish
• Refreshments served at prize presentation
• All Riders and Marshals are Cycling Ireland members and will sign-on morning of event

Elevation:
There will be marshals (in hi-viz jackets & red flags) at every relevant corner and in
particular, major junctions who will be in contsant radio contact with each other, race
officials and lead/team vehicles etc. at all times. They are there for your assistance so
please take care to observe them.

There will be an Ambulance provided along with several Paramedics to assist in the event of
any accidents.
Toilets, refreshments and entertainment will also be provided for any participants and spectators
throughout the course of the day’s events.
Prizes are awarded to the top six riders in all senior races
& top three in the Youth/Ladies & Masters Races
(unless otherwise stated - please enquire on the day)
