Day 1
Fairbanks: Fly into Fairbanks and transfer
to your hotel for a two-night stay.
Day 2
Fairbanks: Learn how the gold rush affected
Alaska’s interior on a sightseeing tour with
included visit to the Museum of the North.
Later, shop, walk or dine on your own in the
downtown area. In the afternoon, cruise the
Chena River aboard a sternwheeler followed
by an authentic salmon bake.
Day 3
Denali National Park: Travel south by
motorcoach to Denali National Park and
spend the afternoon exploring this pristine
area. Enjoy a complimentary park service
activity or optional tour, such as mild or wild
river rafting, flightseeing, a jetboat safari
or a visit to the dog kennels of an Iditarod
champion. Following dinner at the famous
Denali Dinner Theatre, settle in for your
two-night stay.
Day 4
Denali National Park: Travel deep into Denali
National Park on a 6-8 hour Tundra Wilderness
Tour. Search for bears, moose, caribou and
Dall sheep on this narrated journey, which
offers insights into the animals and flora of
this awe-inspiring region of Alaska.
Day 6
Anchorage: Enjoy a city tour of Anchorage,
including its historic downtown district. Later,
visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, a
gathering place that celebrates and shares
Alaskan native cultures. In the evening, feast
on an Alaskan-style dinner.
Day 5
Alaska Railroad: After a morning of
exploring Talkeetna on your own, board deluxe
dome railcars for the trip back to Anchorage.
Along the way, catch glimpses of wildlife
gathering on the banks of the Susitna River.
Day 7
Anchorage: Transfer to the airport for your
departure home.
