Learning Plan
Having learnt about how to write about language and structure in Year 10, you will
continue to develop these skills whilst studying ‘Macbeth’.You will be exploring
aspects of plot, characterisation and events. You will be distinguishing between
what is stated explicitly and what is implied; explaining motivations; exploring the
sequence of events, and the relationship between actions or events. In addition,
you will be identifying themes; supporting a point of view by referring to evidence
in the text; recognising the possibility of different responses; exploring the social,
historical and cultural context; making an informed personal response.
You will also be using language, form and structure for effect in your own
writing. Accurate spelling, vocabulary, punctuation and grammar account for a
significant number of marks and will be studied and practised.
