DAY 1 • 2 • 3 • 4
Serian is the first of Alex’s charismatic camps, and it’s set
along the banks of the Mara, bursting with laughing pods of
languorous hippo. ‘Mara’ is the Masai word for ‘dotted’,
and indeed this rich zone is littered with wildlife wherever
you look – famed for its sheer density of game, this is the
perfect location to kick off your safari. Explore in one of our
safari vehicles, or take a walk on the wild side and head out
on foot – both will bring different levels and layers to your
experience… And top it off with a nocturnal adventure: take
a bush dinner and red-filter spotlights and discover what
the wilderness has to offer by way of nightlife.

DAY 5 • 6
Heading down the wilderness, you will hop across the
border into Tanzania’s Serengeti plains. Nomad’s camp is
named after the ‘Lamai Wedge’ – a golden triangle defined
by the Kenyan border on top, and the Mara River below,
and remarkable for the beauty of the landscape as well as
for fantastic sightings of predators and black rhino.
With the plains to yourself, absorb the mesmerising
savannah, and spend quality time seeking out and hanging
with animals. Have a picnic under a tree: channel the fullbellied lions and gaze up at the sunlight dappling through
the leaves.

DAY 7 • 8 • 9 • 10
Leaving the Mara River behind, our Serengeti South camp takes
you to the extreme tip of the savannah. Set on the edge of the
short-grass plains that host the million-strong wildebeest birthing
season, it’s hard to imagine a more stunning location to wrap up
your adventure. Dramatic storms sweep in new life, and babies
and attendant predators are everywhere. Flora bursts forth,
fields of wildflowers bloom, and the striking contrast of red
Masai against the emerald background makes for a perfect
palette. Part of the beauty of this spot is the Masai way of life in
its most natural state – and the other part is the opportunity to
explore on foot: stretch your legs and open your senses to
immersion in this wild space, as our local guides show you to see
through their eyes.

Leave in plenty of time for a leisurely game drive to the
abundant Ndutu area, and catch at least one more
spectacular sighting before boarding the plane back home.

“It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest
source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest
