Inclined (verb, adjective)
Hindi translation: प्रवत्त

Meaning: Tendency to do something or favour something.
Memory Tip: In + clined → In + Line → When you have a tendency
towards something or to favour something you tend to think in one line
only.
Use in Sentence: He was inclined to play music rather than sports even though his
father was a world-famous cricketer.
Benign (adjective)
Hindi Translation: सौम्य
Meaning: Gentle and kind.
Memory Tip: Benign → Being nice
Use in Sentence: The giant dog looked ferocious but was actually just a benign
creature that loved playing with kids.
Torrential (adjective)
Hindi translation: मूसलधार
Meaning: Extremely heavy (rainfall/floods/snow etc.)
Memory Tip: Torr + Ential → Tore + Potential → Tear + Potential → When rain
has the potential to tear the house down, it is called torrential.
Use in Sentence: We had to cancel the picnic at the last moment because of the
torrential downpour that started suddenly.
Bestow (verb)
Hindi translation: अर्पित करिा
Meaning: Present (an honour, title or gift)
Memory Tip: Best + to → When you give the Best Director Award to
someone, you bestow him with an honour.
Use in Sentence: The BCCI bestowed Kohli with the Best Cricketer Award this year.
Reluctant (adjective)
Hindi translation: अनिच्छुक
Meaning: Unwilling to do something OR Hesitating
Memory Tip: Rel + Ctant → Really + Can’t → When you ask your reluctant
friend to go out with you but she says “I really can’t.”
Use in Sentence: The young man seemed reluctant to answer the policeman’s
questions which raised suspicions that he was in fact the murderer.
