DC’S REPORT
Hi all,
What a fabulous weekend we turned on for our dressage comp. It was great to see so many people just
pitching in and getting the job done, even if that wasn’t their allotted task.
Well done to those of you that tried a new task like pencilling or scoring. We had some wonderful comments
from competitors, spectators and judges about how well run the comp was and how friendly everyone was.
A quick reminder to everyone about the dangers of the spring grass that is coming through. Not only can those
sugar spikes cause a bit of spring silliness, but they can also cause some of our ponies problems with their feet
in the form of laminitis.
If you would like more info on that there is some great articles to be found online. There is some good fact
sheets on www.kohnkesown.com or of course, call your vet if you have any suspicion that your horse or pony
is displaying symptoms.
This rally our theory session will be on lunging. (A skill we sometimes have to use more in spring!!)
We will run this session in the arena with a demo horse, showing some of the different lunging equipment
that we can use.
Riders will get a turn at having a go at lunging, so all riders must come to theory with their helmet and
gloves. As always, parents are encouraged to attend the theory session as well.
Don’t forget this rally is FREE DRESS!! Lets chase away the end of winter blues with some bling and sparkle!
See you all at rally
