Overview:
• This report recommends that the works constructed and installed in
accordance with the subdivision agreement for Registered Plan No. 43M-1694
be accepted and assumed.
Recommendations:
1. That the report from Jim Moores, Manager, Engineering & Construction Division,
Works &Transportation Department, dated June 10, 2011, to the Council Meeting of
June 22, 2011, re: Subdivision Release and Assumption, 582302 ONTARIO
LTD. (Arlington Homes Subdivision) - Registered Plan No. 43M-1694 ­
Northwest corner of Queen Street and Dixie Road - WARD 8 - Planning
References: 21T-03018B and C03E06.14 be received; and
2. That all works constructed and installed in accordance with the subdivision
agreement for Registered Plan No. 43M-1694 (the "Subdivision") be accepted and
assumed; and
3. That the Treasurer be authorized to reduce the securities held by the City in
connection with the Subdivision to $40,000.00, to be retained until the streetscape
warranty has expired; and
4. That a by-law be passed to assume the following street as shown on the Registered
Plan as part of the public highway system:

Locksley Place
Background:
City Council, at its meeting of January 17, 2011, approved Recommendation PDD016­
2011, whereby the road shown on the subject Registered Plan is to be assumed by the
City, once all departments have provided clearance for assumption by the City.
Current Situation:
The Manager, Development Construction of the Works and Transportation Department
is advising that all City Departments and the Region of Peel have agreed to accept the
assumption of the Subdivision and that the necessary documents be prepared for the
assumption of the Subdivision and the Treasurer be authorized to reduce the securities
held by the City in connection with the Subdivision to $40,000.00, until the streetscape
warranty has expired.

To accept and assume works in
Registered Plan 43M-1694
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the City of Brampton has, by resolution,
decided that all works constructed and installed in accordance with the subdivision
agreement for Registered Plan 43M-1694 be accepted and assumed;
AND WHEREAS Council has authorized the City Treasurer to reduce the securities held
by the City to $40,000.00, to be retained until the streetscape warranty has expired.
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to accept and assume the street on Registered
Plan 43M-1694 as part of the public highway system.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the City of Brampton hereby
ENACTS as follows:
1.
All of the works constructed and installed in accordance with the subdivision
agreement for Registered Plan 43M-1694 are hereby accepted and assumed.
The lands described in Schedule A to this by-law are hereby accepted and
assumed as part of the publichighway system of the Cityof Brampton.
READ a FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD TIME and PASSED in Open Council this 22nd
day of June, 2011.
