You must be at least 21 years of age to compete.
You must identity as male.
You must participate in all contestant activities throughout MML Weekend.
You are responsible for your own accommodations, food, and attire at MML Weekend.

TITLEHOLDER RESPONSIBILITIES
Winner’s responsibility is to represent the Mr. Michigan Leather Title and Michigan’s Leather
Community in a positive way and act as a leader to build and strengthen the leather/kink community.
REQUIRED EVENTS
1.To represent the title at International Mr. Leather (IML) held in Chicago, IL., held on Memorial
Weekend.
2.The titleholder will also be required to participate in the next year’s Mr. Michigan Leather Weekend
activities including being a judge and giving a step-down speech during the contest.
3.Participate in Buns & Baskets Bash, a travel fund fundraiser held at the Dunes Resort in March.
4.Develop a travel fund fundraiser event within 90 days of winning the title.
5.Develop a travel fund fundraiser event within 90 days after competing at IML.
STRONGLY SUGGESTED EVENTS:
• Mid Atlantic Leather (MAL) in Washington D.C. This is the event where the IML Judge's are
announced.
• Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend (CLAW).
We encourage the Titleholder to participate in as many Michigan events as is possible for you,
including, but not limited to:
• Bar nights hosted by Michigan's Leather Clubs/ Organizations
• Runs/Anniversary Events of Michigan's Leather Clubs/Organizations
• Michigan's state and city prides events
FINANCIAL SUPPORT THROUGHOUT YOUR TITLE YEAR
Since it’s important to gain visibility on the national leather scene, we support our titleholder by
covering some travel expenses to events the MML Committee feels are important.
WINNER’S PRIZE PACKAGE
Winner’s prize package includes International Mr. Leather Weekend Accommodations and Entry Fee,
Title Patch, Medallion, Title Business Cards, and $500 towards purchasing leather items.

MML CONTEST GENERAL INFORMATION
SCORING
The four areas of competition that you will be judged on are as follows:
INTERVIEW (100 Points)
The interview is held in private on Saturday afternoon. The goal of the interview is for the Judges to get
to know you, your personality, experience level, communication skills, community involvement, etc…
It allows the Judges to determine who would best represent Michigan’s Leather Community and the
potential to be a leader in the community.
The following takes place during the MML contest on Saturday night:
BAR / CRUISE WEAR (40 Points)
This is the contestant’s introduction to the audience. Your style of dress is your wearing and outfit
that you would wear when going out to a bar or fundraising event. This “casual dress” MUST include
Leather.
PECS & PERSONALITY (60 Points)
Each contestant will have an opportunity to show off their “best assets.” Expressing their individuality is
as important as body type. LEGAL STREETWEAR is required due to Michigan State Law: Genitals should
be covered and a 1" strap up the back.
You will be asked a light hearted question for you to show your "personality."
FULL LEATHER & 90 SECOND SPEECH (100 Points)
This should include your most Formal Leather attire. Contestants will be judged on their overall
appearance in Leather on stage. You will be judged on the look and how you articulate your thoughts
in front of a crowd. The speech content is entirely up to the contestant. Speech length: 90 Seconds
maximum.
No persons will be allowed in the contestant changing area except for MML staff and volunteers.
