“2014 Train the School Bus Driver Trainer Course”
The Kansas State Pupil Transportation Association and the Kansas State Department of Education are
pleased to announce the Co-sponsorship of the “Train the School Bus Driver Trainer Course”. This
course is designed as an entry level course for new driver trainers.
The course curriculum will provide training in the topics listed below in both classroom and behind the
wheel training sessions.

Includes Classroom and Behind the Wheel training each day
The purpose of the course is to promote uniform training for school bus drivers. Attendees will
receive a training guide including lesson plans and sample safety programs. A USB flash drive
will be provided so they can update the information to include your district policies.
Train the School Bus Driver Trainer Course Fee: $250 Per Attendee
Train the School Bus Driver Trainer Course Instructor: Barbara Pringle
Barbara has over 30 years experience in school transportation. Barbara began her career in transportation as a school bus
driver and continued as a Driver Trainer, Assistant Transportation Director and Transportation Director for the Emporia
Schools. She has served on many State and National committees to promote school bus safety. Barbara is currently the
Executive Director for KSPTA.

2014 the class will be canceled.

The Kansas State Pupil Transportation Association may cancel or postpone this course because of insufficient enrollment or other
unforeseen circumstances. If canceled, registration fees will be fully refunded, however the Kansas State Pupil Transportation
Association will not be responsible for any other cost.
