Dear Friends,
We are so excited to start planning for The Miracle League of Palm Beach County’s 2nd Annual "Dinner on the
Diamond – Boundless Dreams" event. This fundraising event is being held at our "Field of Dreams" located at
Miller Park, Delray Beach on February 25, 2017 at 6:00 pm. It will be a fun-filled evening including dinner and
desserts, craft beers, a variety of wines, and musical entertainment with a silent and live auction filled with
fabulous items!
For over 10 years, The Miracle League of Palm Beach County has been working to enrich and expand lives by
focusing on providing opportunities for all children to play baseball, regardless of their ability. Creating a safe
and inclusive place for individuals with physical and mental disabilities to participate in a team sport, The
Miracle League of Palm Beach County helps to inspire while developing crucial life skills. While baseball is the
primary vehicle used to encourage kindness, compassion, and generosity in the community, our league allows
participants to mutually teach, guide, and motivate each other in a multitude of ways.
Knowing that there are almost 80,000 people in Palm Beach County with special needs and over 150,000
visitors to Miller Park each year, the vision for this year’s event became obvious: an unrestricted, boundless, and
inclusive playground and garden area adjacent to The Miracle League Field.
The benefits of inclusive outdoor play spaces for all children, both with and without disabilities, include:

expanding awareness and understanding
This new playground will include a shaded space with wide pathways, level play areas, seating, and green space
with accessibility for wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment. Most importantly, it will be an all-inclusive
area allowing participation, providing perspective, and reducing prejudice for those with differing needs.
As with most events, the sponsorship and underwriting of certain elements are critical to success. Enclosed

individuals and businesses.
