Grazing cages are great to track utilization levels in pastures or range areas. In the diagram below, areas in red will be cut away from
green sections of the cattle panel with bolt cutters or torch. The bottom sections left can then be used to make cage anchors. The very
bottom rod will be used for corner weave rods.

Keep bottom rod intact (16 ft long) ● Smooth, grind, or twist off weld points ● Cut into thirds ● Use as thread for corner rod weave
Corner edge rod weave

Cage Anchors (3 per side)
First interlock each panel corner to stabilize. To further
strengthen cage and protect interior grass, weave 1 of 3
remaining long rods through each corner edge of the pyramid
in an over-under fashion.
Easy anchor, easy move next year!
Anchor the cage down by firmly “stepping in” or pounding in the 9
cage anchors along each section of the cage (total of 3/side) that
were made from the bottom section of the cattle panel.
