Dear Parent or Guardian:
SCOPE Education Services, in cooperation with the Sachem
Central School District, is pleased to introduce an exciting
Saturday Enrichment Program for elementary school students.
We are delighted to be able to offer this program to your
children in the hope of providing them with enriching ways to
expand their learning while having fun.
The program will be held on five Saturday mornings. The dates
are: April 1, 8, 22, 29 & May 6. The courses will run from 8:45
a.m. – 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Please complete
the attached registration form or register online by Friday,
March 17th.

hope that it will enhance your child’s learning experience.

Registration Information
1. Select any courses in which you would like to enroll your child. Course
enrollments have limits and, therefore, will be filled on a first-come,
first-served basis. We will do our best to accommodate all selections.
2. Total your course fees and enclose a check or money order payable to
SCOPE. Credit cards are also accepted. Each course is $100.00.
3. Please fill out all information on the registration form. Return the completed
registration form and full payment by Friday, March 17, 2017 to:

4. There will be a $25.00 fee for any returned checks or declined credit cards.
5. Confirmations and Emergency/Health forms will be emailed before
the start of the program. Please contact SCOPE if you do not receive
an emailed confirmation. It is the parent’s responsibility to see that
their child is present on the first day of class. No credit/refund will be
given.
6. Course fees will not be refundable after Friday, March 24, 2017. Refunds
issued prior to March 24th will incur a $10.00 processing fee.
7. The Saturday Enrichment Program will be held at Tamarac Elementary
School- 50 Spence Avenue, Holtsville, NY 11742.

Parents are responsible for their child’s transportation to and from the
program.
9. Children enrolled in both sessions may bring a snack.

WORLD
Have you ever wondered how to say hello in Spanish or Chinese? Or
what holidays are celebrated in Italy or Mexico? Grab your passport
because this class will take you on a “field trip” to interesting
countries all over the world! We will read about customs and
traditions, learn about common children’s songs, and play school
games. If you are open-minded and interested in learning about
different places across the globe, this class is the one for you!

ARTISTIC EXPLORATION
Do you like to paint, draw, and build things out of clay? In this class
we will explore different cultures and artists around the world. We will
create fun and innovative projects that inspire imagination and
creativity. If you love art and enjoy learning new things, then this is
the class for you! We might get messy, so don’t forget to bring your
smock!

CODING
FOR
KIDS!
Do you enjoy playing video games and using apps? Would you like to
know how they are made? Join our class and learn the basics of
computer programming. You will learn how to code so you can begin
designing your own games and apps!

CRAZY SCIENTISTS
Science is experimental, exploratory and exciting! It’s about the
“Aha!” moments in life, like when you figure out how something
works or when you’re amazed by the result of an awesome
experiment. You will have the opportunity to learn about science
through our interactive and hands-on science activities that will be
sure to spark your imagination! So c’mon and get messy! Let the
discovery and exploration begin!

NO BAKE N’ SNACK
Do you enjoy making tasty foods and snacks? Join us as we explore
recipes from snacks and sauces to dips and desserts. In this class
the students are the chefs. The chefs will prepare and taste fun
snacks, and learn how to work safely and be responsible in the
kitchen. The chefs will also create and design their very own
cookbook from the recipes we used in this course. This class is a
tasty place to learn and have fun! Bon appétit!

SPORTS
AND
FITNESS FUN
Run a wacky race, toss bean bags at targets, play basketball and
much more. Have loads of fun with your friends while improving
physical fitness and teamwork skills. Enjoy the benefits of a healthy,
active lifestyle while learning cooperation skills through physical
fitness activities and sports. Leave behind the T.V. and video games
and come join in the action! THE FUN IS HERE!
