1. Competition dates: 19.05.2017. - 21.05.2017.
2. Competition venues:
2.1. Elektrum Olympic Centre (EOC) Riga, Grostonas street 6b,
2.2. Riga’s 49. high school, Kr. Valdemara street 65, Riga
2.3. Riga’s Hamza’s high school, Grostonas street 5, Riga
3. Competition teams:
3.1. Each University can enter one male and one female team. The
Organizers keep their right to decline participation of a university
team in the tournament if the number of teams participating in male
or female group exceeds 16 teams.
3.2. The maximum number of participants in a team - 18 players and 3
official team representatives.
4. Competition Format:
4.1. The tournament system is designed to have group tournaments and
Play-offs.
4.2. Both female and male group tournaments allow for the participation
of a maximum of 16 teams, which will be then split into two to four
groups playing in a circle system. Every games length will be 4x8
minutes. If it is necessary the game’s overtime is 3 minutes. For a
victory a team receives 2 points, for a loss – 1 point, for not attending
the game – 0 points.
If a team does not show up to a game, then it is disqualified from
further participation in the tournament and previous results are
nullified. Games take place in accordance to the FIBA certified
basketball rules.
4.3. The 8 best teams will continue to compete for medals in the Playoffs, but rest of the teams will play for places 9 to 16.
A more accurate game schedule will be publicised once the final
number of teams participating is determined.
4.4. In group tournament the places are determined by:
4.4.1. Victory count;
4.4.2. Received/lost point ratio;
4.4.3. Received point count.

Group tournament (beginning)
Male competition group tournament will be played in two
to four groups depending on the number of participating
teams, but female group tournament, based off of previous
year experiences, will be split into two groups.
20.05. at 10.00-18.00.
Play-offs
Group tournament (continuation) and
Top 8 teams, both male and female, are qualified for the
Play-off competitions.
21.05. at 10.00.
