Marble Physical Activity Club Registration Form

Marble Physical Activity Clubs: Winter Session 2 ~ February 2016
Dear Marble Families:
Winter Session #2 of the Marble Physical Activity Clubs is here! Sign up now if your child is
interested in participating in one or more clubs at afternoon recess time. On the opposite side of this
paper, Winter Session #2 Clubs are listed. I hope your child is interested in joining one or more clubs,
or that he/she is active at recess time by playing outside!
Some clubs have limited space. Sign-ups are on a first come, first served, basis. All clubs are free of
charge. A Parent/Guardian needs to help complete the student’s Club Registration form (note: Adult
signature required) and return it to Mrs. Bain. Your child will be notified of the start date, and teachers
will be given a list of students. If your child is on a waiting list, a note will be sent home with your child to
inform you.
Students may join more than one club! Depending on the space availability for the clubs your child
wishes to join, your child may join as many as fit his/her age and interest. Indicate on the Club
Registration form the club or clubs your child wishes to join. If you have any questions about the Marble
Physical Activity Clubs, please email Mrs. Bain at the address provided below.
NOTE: The Indoor Clubs meet ONLY at afternoon recess; students will still need
OUTDOOR CLOTHING and WINTER BOOTS for lunch recess. Thank you.
Thank you for your interest in the Marble Physical Activity Clubs. Let’s get active!

Description
The Walking Club is a club for kids who want to walk indoors for
exercise and fun! You may choose to walk on any day the club
meets, or you can choose to play outside on some days. Walkers
who consistently come to the Walking Club will be allowed to use
pedometers to track miles and set personal goals!
For serious stackers only! Please take note, and be sure the student
understands that the nature of the Speed Stacking Club will change
during Session #2. During February (and into March), students in the
Speed Stacking Club will compete in mini-challenges, try for
individual school records, team and partner races, and learn to stack
correctly, and stack fast! We will even prepare for a tournament!
There will be NO obstacle course games or running & stacking games
and no tower building during this session because most of the space
of the gym will be used by the Bowling Club. Join this club if you
want to stack sequences!
In February, we roll out the bowling carpets and set up the pins
for Bowling Month! At recess, kids who love bowling will be able
to get some extra practice!
Bowling Buddies are Mrs. Bain’s helpers who come into the gym
before school, and right before the end of the day to help set up
the bowling equipment during the month of February. Apply to
be a Bowling Buddy on a separate application.

Do you like to practice skills, by yourself and with others? The
P.E. Challenge Club is a club where participants practice 6
Challenges, and can earn a certificate and a pin when they test
out at the end of the club. You have until the end of February to
earn your prize!
Ms. Beth Baldwin, a Marble parent, used to own a Yoga studio
and is a certified Yoga instructor! Students who join this club will
learn fun yoga moves in a quiet classroom setting. If you are
looking for something different and would like to learn this life
sport of Yoga, join Ms. Baldwin’s Yoga Club!
