ESSENTIAL UNIT 10 (E10)
(What Do You Want to Become?)
(August 2015)
Unit Statement: The student will identify professions in science, technology, business, the
arts, and law. The student will discuss what career they would like to have using the future
tense of regular and irregular verbs. He/she will write about their future plans. In addition,
the student will demonstrate an understanding of folk art from Spanish-speaking countries in
a visual presentation.
Essential Outcomes: (must be assessed for mastery)
1. The Student Will identify professions in science, technology, business, the arts and
law.
2. TSW discuss the preparations needed to succeed in each profession.
3. TSW do an oral presentation on the types of activities involved in a profession of
their choice.
4. TSW talk about what things will be like in the future using the regular future tense.
5. TSW talk about future events using irregular verbs in future tense (poder, haver,
saber, tener, haber, etc).
6. TSW read and understand notes sent to graduating seniors about their future.
