Unit Statement: The student will talk about televised sporting events and programs. He/she
will express his/her feelings about watching television. The student will discuss movie plots
and characters, and give opinions about movies. They will also talk about activities that they
have done.
Essential Outcomes: (must be assessed for mastery)
1. The Student Will talk about sporting events and contests.
2. TSW talk about how they and others feel.
3. TSW form and use the preterite of stem-changing –ir verbs (preferir, pedir, dormir).
4. TSW express emotions and physical changes using reflexive verbs.
5. TSW discuss movies and movie-making.
6. TSW express their opinions with verbs that use indirect objects.
7. TSW talk about what they have done using the present perfect tense.
