The Processional Hymn
Fortress Is Our @d, Einfeste
Burg
A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
Our helper he amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our strength confide, our striving would be losing;
Were not the right man on our side, the man of God's own
choosing:
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is he;
Lord Sabaoth his Name, from age to age the same,
And he must win the battle.
That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through him who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also; the body they may
kill:
God's truth abideth still, his kingdom is forever.

The Jamestown Prayer
We know, Oh Lord, we have the Devil and all the gates of Hell
against us, but if thou, O Lord, be on our side we care not who be
against us. And seeing by Thy motion and work in our hearts, we
have left our warn nests at home and put our lives into Thy
hands, principally to honour Thy name and advance the Kingdom
of Thy son. Lord, give us leave to commit our lives into Thy
hands.

The First Lesson
@nesis l:24-31
Read by Wingfield Hughes
Vice President, Wingfield Family Society
Psalrra L22
Led responsively by Robert Wingfield
Treasurer, Wingfield family Society
I was glad when they said to me,
"Let us go to the house of the LORD."
Now our feet are standing
within your gates, O Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is built as a city
that is at unity with itself;
To which the tribes go up,
the tribes of the LORD,"
the assembly of Israel,
to praise the Name of the LORD.
For there are the thrones ofjudgment,
the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
"May they prosper who love you.
Peace be within your walls
and quietness within your towers.
For my brethren and companions'sake,
I pray for your prosperity.
Because of the house of the LORD our God.
I will seek to do you good."

A General Thanksgiving
Spoken by the Officiant and the Congregation
Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we Thine unworthy servants
do give Thee most humble and hearty thanks for all Thy goodness
and loving-kindness to us and to all men.
We bless Thee for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings
of this life; but above all for Thine inestimable love in the
redemption of the world by Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the means
of grace, and for the hope of glory. And, we beseech Thee, give us
that due sense of all Thy mercies, that our hearts may be
unfeignedly thankful, and that we show forth Thy praise, not only
with our lips, but in our lives: by giving up our selves to Thy
service, and by walking before Thee in holiness and righteousness
all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with Thee
and the Holy Ghost, be all honor and glory, world without end.
Amen.

The Retiring Processional Hymn
Eternal Fatlter, Strong to Saue, Melita
Eternal Father, strong to save, whose arm hath bound the
restless wave,
Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep its own appointed limits keep:
O hear us when we cry to thee for those in peril on the sea.
O Christ, whose voice the waters heard and hushed their raging
at thy word, who walkedst on the foaming deep, and calm amid
its rage didst sleep: O hear us when we cry to thee for those in
peril on the sea.
Most Holy Spirit, who didst brood upon the chaos dark and rude,
and bid its angry tumult cease, and give, for wild confusion,
peace:
O hear us when we cry to thee for those in peril on the sea.
O Trinity of love and power, thy children shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, Iire and foe, protect them where so e'er
they go;
Thus evermore shall rise to thee glad hymns of praise from land
and sea.
