*Hope Hill specializes in caring for emotionally disturbed young women, 12 - 20 years
old, many of which are chronic runaways and the victims of neglect as well as physical
and sexual abuse. Hope Hill provides both open and secured residential cottages as well
as Therapeutic Foster Care. It also has therapeutic foster care for children ages birth-21.
In addition Family Connection provides equine assisted counseing and has a drug and
alcohol abuse program.

*The Adult and Community Education Programs offer a variety of educational services
to adults’ age 16 years old and older. The Adult Education Program offers individuals
the opportunity to attain their GED and/or to refresh their basic education skills. These
services are offered free of charge. The Community Education Program offers a wider
range of educational services to adults. Community Education offers evening classes in
many diverse areas for a small fee. Some of the classes often offered by Community
Education include: basic computer training, specialized computer training courses,
Spanish classes, cooking classes, cake decorating, etc. Community Education can also
assists adults in obtaining information about higher education facilities such as
universities, community colleges, and trade/vocational schools. Community Education
can also assist adults in applying for federal grants and student loans for continuing
education.

The Family Resource Centers/ Youth Service Centers strive to recognize
gaps in services and lack of resources to meet the needs of children and
families. The centers in turn tailor intervention strategies without
duplication of services working in collaboration with other agencies to
eliminate barriers to a child’s education. The approach is very

*Serves the legal needs of low-income families. Clients who meet the low-income
criteria pay no legal fees but are required to pay any court costs that may arise. The
program cannot handle fee generating civil cases nor criminal cases. Services include
civil cases involving social security, welfare, divorce and consumer cases, which include
housing and bankruptcy. The Morehead office serves all Gateway counties: Bath,
