Bronze Level
Remember to attach a book slip to your project.
1. My Favorite Things
Write a paragraph talking about one particular section of your book. You must
write a well-developed paragraph about why that section was so interesting to you
and why it stood out. Use evidence from the book to support your ideas.
Then draw a picture of that section with all the details you described in your
paragraph.
Requirements:
 6-8 sentences
 Paragraph must have a well stated thesis statement, 3 supporting details and
concluding sentence.
 Type or neatly hand write your paragraph with a full school heading
 Must include a picture in order to receive credit
2. Design a Quilt
Think of three of your favorite scenes or characters from the book. Then
stich/draw/paint the quilt squares depicting those favorites. The pictures should
be filled with enough details that the person looking at it will know exactly what is
going on in the book scene, without using words.
On a fourth square, as neatly and decoratively as possible, write the name of the
book, author, a small picture of the book and your name.
Once you have created the four squares put them together using tape, stitching
or some other creative way to create the quilt.
The individual squares may be drawn with marking pens on paper or done in
stitchery (or a combination of both).
3. This is Your Life
For this project you must read a BIOGRAPHY of someone who has made a
difference in our world. Once you have made your choice, you will then create a
time line of the person’s life.
Make sure that you include important facts and events from your subject’s life.
Include the ways that the person has made a difference in our world. Be sure to
include at least 10 events, if not more.
You may present your time line any way you wish: standard time line: Poster (half
size), Power point, Film strip. Be Creative!
4. Design a Scrapbook Page
Design a scrapbook page that would be the main character. You should include
items that would be important to him/her. Then include a written paragraph of 58 well written sentences about the importance of the items.
