Profile International was established in 1981 and has been
manufacturing drinking straws in New Zealand for over 25 years.
Our 15,000 sq.ft factory and distribution centre is located in the South Auckland industrial
park adjacent to Highbrook. Profile International is a 100% New Zealand owned, family
run business. The straws we manufacture comply with the most stringent of certification
requirements, ensuring confidence for small and large consumers around the country.
These are sold under the PureSip brand. Our product range extends to a wide range of food
and beverage related items under our Tastetoolz brand.

Our South Auckland factory allows us
to manufacture straw runs to suit your
specific requirements. The PureSip range
is hygienically certified to international
food safety standards, including BRC and
HACCP standards.
Our Tastetoolz range that we import
and distribute includes a wide variety of
affordable, disposable products ranging
from plastic cutlery to toothpicks and
more, complementary to the catering and
food industry.
Drinking straws can be made in a wide
range of colours and sizes from 3.5mm to
10.0mm diameter.
An individual paper wrapping and wrapper
branding service is also available.

PureSip is owned by Profile International, the only drinking straw manufacturer
in New Zealand. We have one of the world’s highest hygiene and manufacturing
standards for the food packaging industry - BRC (British Retail Consortium) and
undergo rigorous annual testing. All our BRC certified products are also HACCP
approved, ensuring you are buying the best products. We can manufacture runs of
straws to suit your requirements (minimum order applies).

Profile International is able to offer manufactured items - Drinking straws,
foldable spoons, forks and scoops and wooden skewers, sticks and stirrers.
Our foldable utensils are hygienically wrapped in BOPP film. Our suppliers are
able to manufacture items to your requirements and specifications. Most of
these products can be branded with your company brand/logo if required.
Manufacturing & Production Line - Drink Straws
The P-Straw (Periscope Straw) is a telescopic straw with the added uniqueness
of a flexible corrugation section when the straw has been extended. It boasts
a compact size when wrapped in film, and transforms to a long straw when
extended, allowing a long straw to be incorporated onto a small pack size. Can
be applied to a large variety of formulations, pack sizes and shapes. One straw
size can be used on a variety of pack/cup/container sizes, thus reducing your
packaging material stock holding. Can also be applied to cans with double sided
adhesive.
The T-Straw (Telescopic Straw) is an extendable straw, with a compact size
when wrapped in film, and transforms to a long straw when extended, allowing
a long straw to be incorporated onto a small pack size. Can be applied to a large
variety of formulations, pack sizes and shapes. Due to its practical novelty, one
straw size can be used on a variety of pack/cup/container sizes, thus reducing
your packaging material stock holding. Can also be applied to cans with double
sided adhesive. T-Straws are a straight straw that extend out once removed
from packaging.
Extendable U-Shaped Straws were invented to eliminate the size limitation
of the l-straw and thus revolutionised the drinking straw market. U-Straws are
more convenient to use and they have universal shelf appeal. We can supply
correctly dimensioned U-Straws for all shapes and sizes of single portion
liquid packaging. Several diameters are available for various liquid thicknesses.
U-Straws have a pointed end and the straw can be straightened once removed
from packaging.
The Z-Straw is the U-Straw but with two sets of corrugations. The Z-Straw is
designed to eliminate the possibility of siphoning and help generate marketing
opportunities that will results in higher sales.
These products are designed to be applied to drink containers. Straws come in a continuous plastic belt-form
packaging, especially made for the manufacturing industry, compatible on high speed machines.
Clear plastic packaging allows for branding to be printed on. These can also be made with an easy tear off tab for
removal off the product item. These straws are also available in various diameters and lengths, and colours can
be made to order.
