HISTORY
Ejstrupholm Fish Farm was taken over by Nancy and Kaj Jensen in 1984. Over the
years the couple bought other farms; Nr Vium Fish Farm, Abildtrup Fish Farm,
Funder Fish Farm, Christiansminde Fish Farm and Idom Fish Farm. Together with
Ejstrupholm Fish Farm these 5 plants throughout Denmark form the Ejstrupholm
Fish Farm Company.
Four of the fish farms are Model 3 Plants which are high-tech facilities protecting
the environment. In the period of 2005 to 2009 five traditional farms were
converted to these four Model 3 Plants. Ejstrupholm Fish farm expects along the
way to build more farms on the environment-friendly installations.
Ejstrupholm Fish Farm carries its fish to the factories using a custom-built truck
Ejstrupholm Fish Farm produces 3000 tons rainbow trout at year for
further processing in factories and live exports.

Danish Akvakultur is over 100 years old.
It started with fish in small pomps. They were
using water from the freshwater system.
Every year Danish fish farmers are building
new farms using groundwater.
There has been over 550 fish farms in DK.
Today there are only about 300 left.
