Introduction
eToro is the world’s largest social investment network,
empowering over 3.5 million registered users in more
than 170 countries to invest in stocks, currencies,
commodities, and indices online in a simple, transparent
and more enjoyable way.
eToro had been successful in driving sign-ups to its
investment platform through Facebook advertising, but
was looking to scale customer acquisition faster by
reaching a broader audience and while keeping CPA
low.
eToro used Taboola to recommend content items,
primarily blog posts regarding particular stocks, to drive
the right people. We targeted those aware of online
investment but not particularly experienced in it, to the
eToro website where they were incentivized to sign up.

the campaign. They have been testing multiple stories
a week, each with several headline and thumbnail
options. And, they retargeted consumers who had

web site, and would therefore be more likely to sign up
for the service.
