Robert Ballard and Jean-Louis Michel led the team that
discovered the wreckage of the Titanic on September 1, 1985.
The wreckage was located about 300 miles southeast of
Newfoundland, Canada.
It was 12, 500 feet down on the ocean bottom.
They used a mini-sub named Alvin and a robotic camera
named Jason Jr. to take photos of the wreckage.
