launches new Cotton Range tents
Nordisk cotton tents now available in new sizes
Quickborn / Munich, 29 May 2012 – Cotton Range is Nordisk's new generation of tents for all
adventurers that have had enough of pacing only the bare minimum and seek camping that
offers pleasure, style, natural materials and excellent interior climate. The cotton material of
these attractive tents is breathable and prevents heat build-up inside the tent; in rain, it swells
to provide waterproof protection without becoming stuffy. In fact, these tents offer a whole
new experience of wellbeing under canvas. Cotton Range models Sioux and Nando are now
available from retailers in two sizes, supplying a choice of settings for your personal family
adventure.
Sioux
The proven Sioux 500 for ten to twelve people is now
joined by its new smaller version, Sioux 400, which
comfortably sleeps eight to ten. Even standing room is no
problem in this tepee-inspired design with a total height
of 275 cm. The tent is in an easy-to-erect single-pole
design and can be stowed away in a bag only 85 x 23 cm
in size. Made from a 35 per cent cotton / 65 per cent
polyester fabric blend, the Sioux is significantly lighter
than traditional cotton tents, weighing in at 14 kg, yet offers outstanding ventilation. With a roof
cover that can be opened to let smoke out and fire-resistant fabric, the tent was deliberately
designed without a sewn-in floor and is thus the perfect setting for a small camp fire in the
centre. A groundsheet is available as an optional extra.
Nando
For individual family adventures, the smaller Nando 250 has
now joined Nordisk's larger Nando 400. The new addition
comfortably sleeps three to five people in an area of 250 x 250
x 200 cm, while its big brother fits eight to ten. With only one
central pole and a further pole at the entrance area, these
outdoor shelters are child's play to set up and take down. Four
'windows' fitted with insect-proof mesh can be opened from
the inside to provide light and pleasant ventilation. The
rugged pure cotton canvas ensures a pleasant interior climate
with the natural feel that is characteristic of Cotton Range tents. The large entrance can be
extended further by adding an optional awning, and the sewn-in floor is guaranteed 100%
waterproof. The Nando 250 folds away to only 85 x 30 cm and weighs in at 11.9 kg, easily fitting
into any car.

Cotton Range - space, space, space
Planning a holiday for the extended family or a camping expedition? Nordisk has two perfect
solutions! The Kokomo tent has space for up to eight people, while the generous 10-metre length
of Arkansas is ideal for camp-outs or sports events. With a total of six entrances (one each at
front and back and two on each side wall), Arkansas offers versatile access and can also be used
as a large-scale pavilion.
Virtual camping
Now Nordisk allows adventurers to experience its tents right in the store – with the 360°
terminal, an ultra-compact solution for introducing customers to full-size tents. The fascinating
POS tool offers intuitive operation and enables customers to take a 'tour' of the tents inside and
out on a large touch-screen while providing useful information including product details and hints
